About Me

Hello!

My name is Kate Elfström, I’m 33 years old and based in Oxford, UK.

I have been taking photos at concerts since the very first gig I ever attended by myself back when I was 14. I was absolutely hooked straight away and for me, nothing beats capturing the magic of the moment, the feeling and the atmosphere and the wonderful sense of togetherness that watching live music always has.

I started off as one of those people who would queue all day just to be able to get my little point and shoot camera to the front row. I would always watch the photographers at the gigs I went to thinking how much I’d love to be able to do that.

Well, life happened and I ended up following a totally different career path and working in Formula One for 13 years - but the photography dream wouldn’t die. So I decided to change direction, invest in a proper camera, learn as much as possible, get my diploma in digital marketing and start making it happen.

I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to photograph a variety of bands both within the UK and further afield and also join on some tours. This was where I started to branch out to include video and begin focusing on concert recaps and some bts content. For me, social media has always gone hand in hand with this.
